The most taxing settings are shadows, particle effects, unit details and terrain. You can then lower it depending on your performance(it's mostly up to your ram and cpu).

These settings should be an ok starting point. Unit details max perf for biggest fps boost, but dead bodies will disappear over time and all units will look the same, so you could try with performance or quality settingīuilding details quality, or maybe lower for small fps boost Screen space reflections quality or max quality Performance for better battlemap performance Water max quality for campaign map performance/ max Terrain resolution can be ultra or a bit lower Use mlee or better just disable anti-aliasing and use override settings in nvidia control panel (fxaa x4 should be good enough) Now the best way to get some more performance without buying new hardware is to play around with settings. I'm assuming you're using i5 9600k? it's decent cpu some slight oc might be beneficial.

Now the main bottleneck in this game are cpu and ram speeds. After a tip from a guy on this sub I went ahead and tested those mods and checked their contents in pfm. So Tob shaders wont really change a thing, same with all other attila performance mods. Fumble until you find the right look/performance medium ground. Main thing that improved performance in Tob was that CA made game large address aware, and that's not easy to port, they would probably have to rebuild whole game. Atillas terrain maps are huge, and even at Performance could cost you up to 5-10 frames. Because all those tweaks don't do anything, they are just for placebo effect.
